Downtime

1. Immediately After the Procedure:

   - You will experience some minor swelling, redness, and soreness in the treated areas. This is normal and should subside within a few days. 

   - You will be given a prescription for pain killers and antibiotics. It is important not to touch or wash the grafts. You should sleep with your head elevated and avoid strenuous activities and alcohol.

 

2. First Few Days:

   - It is essential to follow your  instructions regarding the care of the donor and recipient areas.

   - You must avoid touching or rubbing the transplanted area and to sleep in an elevated position to reduce swelling. You will be given a spray bottle to keep the grafts moist and decrease itchiness.

   - Some scabbing or crusts may form around the transplanted follicles. It's important not to pick or scratch these scabs, as it can damage the grafts.

 

3. First Two Weeks:

   - The transplanted hair may shed within the first two weeks. This is a normal part of the healing process and doesn't indicate a failed procedure.

   - It's important to avoid activities that could dislodge the grafts, such as strenuous exercise or wearing tight hats.

 

4. First Month:

   - By the end of the first month, the transplanted hair follicles enter a resting phase.

   - Some patients may experience a period of temporary hair loss or thinning, known as "shock loss." This is a normal response to the procedure and is typically temporary.

 

5. Three to Six Months:

   - New hair growth usually begins within three to six months after the procedure.
